Following the official photoshoot held at the iconic Padma Bridge, the ICC Cricket World Cup trophy made a notable appearance at the Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) on Tuesday. The trophy was in the esteemed company of male and female national team players, revered former cricket legends, dignitaries, organizers, and the press corps.

During the event, Mushfiqur Rahim, an esteemed member of an exclusive trio of cricketers who have taken part in every World Cup edition since 2007, had the honor of bringing the coveted trophy onto the revered cricket ground.

Engaging in a meaningful conversation with the ICC’s content creators, Mushfiqur, accompanied by the swift-paced bowler Taskin Ahmed and the experienced spin-bowling mentor Rangana Herath, delved into the intricacies of their team’s preparations for the imminent World Cup.

Mushfiqur Rahim, the proficient batsman of Bangladesh, eloquently shared his aspirations to elevate the nation’s World Cup achievements to new heights within the sacred precincts of the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

As a seasoned veteran who has experienced 4 seasons of ODI World Cups tournaments, Mushfiqur will look further to his fifth tournament, once again taking on the pivotal role nestled in the core of the Tigers’ formidable batting lineup.

“I am lucky to have played in the last four World Cups. If I get the chance to play this time, then I would definitely want to do better than the results we’ve had in the past four tournaments,” Mushfiqur was quoted as saying by The Daily Star.

“We have that ability and the belief but everything depends on starting well on the given day. I think it is very important that we start well,” he added.

“In view of our well-seasoned stature in the realm of ODIs, coupled with our sustained cricketing virtuosity spanning quinquennial annals, we dare to entertain the optimism of attaining a meritorious denouement,” he concluded.
