After a fantastic season, Indian cricket fans are in for a thrilling period as the upcoming edition of the Legends League Cricket is scheduled to take place in India starting from November 18 and concluding on December 9.
The Legends League, to be held soon after the Men’s ODI World Cup to be held in India, will be the culmination of the festival season, which has started with the ongoing Asia Cup currently being held in Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
The forthcoming season of the Legends League Cricket franchise is all set to provide an interesting twist with renowned cricket prominent figures converging in India.
Anticipation is running high as Legends League Cricket returns to India, unveiling new locations that promise to stir excitement among cricket lovers. Organizers said that the choice of these venues is carefully matched with the passion of cricket fans, highlighting areas where international cricket hasn’t seen much activity. This approach is positioned to not only elevate the sport but also contribute to its wider promotion.
The league is all geared up to boost its popularity by including more players this season, ramping up the competitiveness and entertainment aspect for the spectators.
The previous season hosted in Doha featured a stunning exhibition of cricketing prowess. It included famous players who had recently said adieu to international cricket – the likes of Suresh Raina, Aaron Finch, Hashim Amla, Ross Taylor, and Chris Gayle, among others. Their participation in the Legends League Cricket raised the game to unparalleled heights.
The victors of the inaugural Franchise season in September 2022 were the India Capitals. Sources have hinted at an imminent announcement about team retention policies, accompanied by specifics about the fresh Player Draft Pool.
Sharing his opinions, Ravi Shastri, the Commissioner of Legends League Cricket, remarked, “Bring it on, the world-class competitive cricket is always welcome. With more legends joining the game, much more fun is expected on the field. This is what a fan like me would want.”
“We expect to make the league one of the best experiences for the fans and cricketing fraternity in this category. The league is experiencing significant growth and positive changes, season on season. With the next one in India, it is likely to contribute to its popularity and appeal further,” Shastri further said.
