India is still coming to terms with the disbelief and shock following their heartbreaking loss to Australia in the CWC 2023 final held in Ahmedabad.

The tournament saw India deliver stellar performances, fueling hopes for a historic victory. However, destiny took an unexpected turn, and in a match where every moment held significance, India couldn’t clinch victory in the final moments. The sorrow of the defeat was compounded by the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the venue, witnessing the intense emotional journey unfold.

Following the game, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, displaying steadfast support, visited the Indian dressing room to offer solace to the disheartened players. He exchanged heartfelt embraces with fast bowler Mohammed Shami and greeted the team captains, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, with a firm handshake.

Narendra Modi’s appearance in the dressing room went beyond symbolism; it served as a genuine show of support and motivation. Moving from player to player, he shared words of solace and encouragement. PM Modi was even seen asking players to come over to Delhi for a get-together, he was seen telling the players that “Whenever you guys come to Delhi I would sit with you all.”
