Rohit Sharma has dealt with the reins of the Indian team in a duo of ICC competitions. During the 2022 T20 World Cup, India’s adventure concluded at the semifinal stage with a loss to the eventual champions, England. In a different position, Rohit also captained India in the World Test Championship final against Australia; unfortunately, the squad experienced a significant setback.

Looking ahead, Rohit Sharma finds himself on the verge of engraving his name into the records of Indian cricket. As the notable hosts of the ODI World Cup set for October-November, the chance offers itself for Rohit to leave a significant legacy in the history of the sport inside the country.

Ian Bishop believes that Rohit Sharma’s legacy as captain will be honored if India can triumph in significant competitions in the upcoming months, including the Asia Cup and the 50-over World Cup.
