Both sides brought their A-game, exhibiting their incredible skills and tremendous competitive spirit throughout the contest. New Zealand won the toss and opted to field first. Australia, under the guidance of Travis Head, who played a fantastic century scoring 109 runs, and the great effort of David Warner with 81 runs, managed to score a formidable total of 388 runs.

Despite New Zealand’s strong bowling efforts, especially Trent Boult’s three important wickets, Australia succeeded in amassing a large number of runs. Glenn Maxwell’s spectacular cameo, adding 41 runs from just 24 deliveries, added important late runs to their score.

New Zealand’s chase began brilliantly with Devon Conway and Will Young, but it was Rachin Ravindra’s century that kept the Kiwis in contention— Rachin Ravindra’s excellent 116, which included nine boundaries and five sixes, increased interest to the contest.
