Sharma, in his explosive 92-run innings, helped India post their highest score in the event so far at a commanding 205 for 5 at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium here in Gros Islet, St Lucia.

He finally fell to Starc, bowled in the 12th over, but until then, his 41-ball 92, laced with seven fours and eight sixes, had put India on a sound footing.
