Ruturaj Gaikwad and his team made a smart move by winning the toss and opting to field first, which paid off nicely as they limited KKR to 137/9 in 20 overs. Ravindra Jadeja and Tushar Deshpande were the standout performers, with Mustafizur Rahman also chipping in with a couple of wickets on his comeback.

KKR seemed to be in a decent position after the powerplay with a score of 56/1, thanks to Sunil Narine and Angkrish Raghuvanshi. However, the game took a turn in CSK’s favor when Ravindra Jadeja was brought into the attack, taking crucial wickets within a short span of time. According to Jadeja, the pitch wasn’t overly conducive to spin, but the slow turn made CSK’s spinners quite effective.

The KKR middle order couldn’t handle the pressure and collapsed gradually. Despite their efforts, the KKR bowlers failed to trouble the CSK batters, who comfortably chased down the target. Daryl Mitchell and Shivam Dube played their roles well against the spinners, while Ruturaj Gaikwad anchored the innings brilliantly to secure victory for CSK.
