Virat Kohli, the superstar batter from India has a massive fan following across the world because of his quality batting and passion for the game. Currently, he is playing his 500th game in the International cricket match at Queen’s Park Oval against the West Indies.

During the second ongoing Test between India and West Indies, Virat Kohli and Joshua Da Silva have been constantly chatting with each other. In fact, Da Silva seems to be a huge fan of Virat and he seems to have been on the WI side to see Virat Kohli and his passion for the game. Like every other Virat fan who dies to see his signature shot which is his cover drive, Da Silva is also crazy for Kohli’s elegance-filled shots. Fortunately, Virat Kohli was able to stick to his ground and has been playing out there in the middle for a longer haul. He remained unbeaten on 87* off 161 balls on day 1.

In Test Cricket, mostly what we get to see is, the Wicket-keepers are seen sledging or distracting their opponent and trying to restrict them to score big which comes true sometimes. But for a player like Virat Kohli, it doesn’t work for any particular time. But there was an opposite case with Da Silva instead what we see is a friendly chat between him and Kohli throughout the time he was at the crease and also with Virat being in his zone, left no chance to carry forward the conversation.

There was one such amusing interaction between the two players when Da Silva revealed that his mother also wanted to see Kohli’s batting. In the first part of the stump mic conversation, he said, “stealing doubles since 2012”

This was not the only thing he was heard saying about India star batter Virat Kohli, he further says:

“My mom told me she’s coming to watch Virat Kohli bat, I couldn’t believe it”

He added: “Get your 100 Virat, I want you to score it”

Kohli had a mild smile on his face as he came up with a funny reaction.

Kohli said:

“You are obsessed with my milestones!”

“I know I am,” responded Da Silva.

Talking about his knock, Kohli is currently playing on 87* runs and the star batter also broke many records during his 500th match. He became the only player to score a half-century in his 500th match. He also surpassed Jacques Kallis’s record and became the fifth-leading run-scorer in Test cricket.

Earlier in the match, West Indies won the toss and invited the visitors to bat first. The new sensational duo of Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal shines again and made an impressive partnership of 139 runs for the first wicket. Jaiswal departed by playing a rash shot on a score of 57 off 74 balls where he again scored a half-century despite scoring 171 runs in the first test. Rohit Sharma fell short and couldn’t complete his well-deserved century on the first day and departed on 80 off 143 balls. West Indies bowled well after the launch and got back to back 4 wickets on a shorter run spell. Virat and Jadeja (36*) are holding their nerves strong and playing well, they will continue their innings on day 2.

T20I Series Loss To West Indies Should Be A Wake-up Call For India: Sunil Gavaskar

Salman Butt, the former cricketer for Pakistan, predicts that India's recent series defeat by the West Indies will have a negative impact on their confidence as they get ready for the important Asia Cup and the 2023 ODI World Cup. With a series loss of 2-3 against the West Indies, the Indian side suffered an eight-wicket loss in the fifth T20I. The former cricketer Salman Butt examined the matches in the lead-up to the important ODI competitions, starting with the Asia Cup on August 30. Salman Butt made a bold claim after analyzing the matches. His assertion that India's loss might negatively affect their confidence and their performance in forthcoming matches in the World Cup tournament. "It doesn't matter what the format is or who the opposition is. Winning does boost the side's confidence for their next assignment. Similarly, a defeat like this will surely dent India's confidence. You might not see it in the interviews, but you will see it in the body language and decision-making," Butt said on his YouTube channel. The team management decided to back up-and-coming players for the five-match series instead of veteran cricketers like Virat Kohli and skipper Rohit Sharma, including Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, and Mukesh Kumar. Butt underlined that the resurrected Indian squad, which included a number of youthful players, was unable to completely realize their potential during the tournament. Unfortunately, they had difficulties facing the West Indies team and had trouble getting good results. "Many would say that it was a T20I series, and several of India's top players were missing. But at the same time, this is India's normal practice. It wasn't the first time that a young side was picked. It also wasn't that West Indies are a very big team, and it was very difficult for India to beat them," he further added.
