In a heartwarming turn of events during Day 1 of the fifth Test between India and England, a touching moment unfolded between spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav. Despite playing his 100th Test match, Ashwin selflessly offered the ball to Kuldeep, giving him the honor to lead the team off the field.

Winning the toss, England’s captain Ben Stokes chose to bat first at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Thursday, March 7. The Indian team, displaying exceptional bowling skills, managed to bowl out the visitors for 218 runs in the first innings.

As the players walked off the field, Ashwin, initially designated to lead, graciously handed over the ball to Kuldeep Yadav, encouraging him to take charge of leading the team. This exchange spoke volumes about the mutual respect and sportsmanship between the two teammates.

Continuing his stellar performance, the 29-year-old went on to claim the wickets of Zak Crawley, Jonny Bairstow, and Ben Stokes, achieving a well-deserved five-wicket haul.
