Rohit Sharma and his team showcased an impressive bowling performance, restricting England to just 145 runs in their second innings. The Indian spin trio, comprising Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja, combined to take 10 wickets. Ashwin and Kuldeep were the standout performers, with Ashwin securing a five-wicket haul and Kuldeep claiming four wickets.

During the match, Indian captain Rohit Sharma expressed concern for batsman Sarfaraz Khan, who was standing at short leg without a helmet. In a candid moment captured by the stump mic, Rohit advised Sarfaraz not to be a ‘hero’ and to wait for his helmet from the dressing room.

In the clip that has been going viral all over X (formerly known as Twitter), Rohit can be seen warning Sarfaraz saying, “Aye bhai, zyada hero mat ban.”

On the third day, India kicked off with a solid performance, as wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel and his partner Kuldeep Yadav held their ground confidently. Despite not being a specialized batsman, Kuldeep faced 113 balls and contributed 28 runs before James Anderson got the better of him.

Prior to his dismissal, Kuldeep collaborated with Jurel, putting together a partnership of 76 runs from 202 balls, creating pressure on the opposition. Jurel showcased his batting prowess, managing to score his first Test half-century with some impressive shots. Akash Deep, unfortunately, couldn’t stay at the crease for long and fell victim to Shoaib Bashir, who claimed his maiden Test wicket.

Meanwhile, Dhruv Jurel displayed resilience, battling it out for 90 runs from 149 balls. His innings included six fours and four sixes, making a significant impact during his time at the crease.

In the second innings, R Ashwin stood out as India’s leading wicket-taker, securing five dismissals. Kuldeep Yadav contributed with four wickets, while Jadeja managed to grab one. To seal the series victory, India needs to chase down 192 runs to win the match in Ranchi.
