In this article, we’ll delve into the longest sixes smashed in the current tournament. Interestingly, only on two occasions have we witnessed the ball travel beyond the 100-meter mark. The first instance was when Shreyas Iyer connected with one, and the second was more recently when Glenn Maxwell, who has been in remarkable form, sent one soaring against New Zealand.

1. Glenn Maxwell (101 meters) :

Glenn Maxwell has smashed the tournament’s longest six in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 match against New Zealand at Dharamsala. In the 43rd over, he delivered a powerful blow, sending the ball soaring for a massive 104-meter six, which even touched the stadium’s roof. Maxwell’s blazing inning of 41 runs came from just 24 balls, with the highlight being his back-to-back sixes against Mitchell Santner.

2. Shreyas Iyer (101 meters) :

In a thrilling match in Delhi, India secured a resounding eight-wicket victory over Afghanistan. The star of the show was none other than Rohit Sharma, who delivered a dazzling century off just 63 balls, accompanied by five remarkable sixes. However, the most jaw-dropping six of the day was executed by Shreyas Iyer. With only one six to his name, he smashed an incredible 101-meter-long shot on the very first delivery of the 33rd over, sending Mujeeb-ur-Rahman’s delivery soaring into the stands.
