The anticipation is sky-high as cricket enthusiasts worldwide eagerly await the colossal showdown between India and Pakistan. Both teams have landed in Ahmedabad and are gearing up for this electrifying contest.

With both squads securing victories in their initial two matches, their spirits are soaring. India is keeping its fingers crossed for Shubman Gill’s recovery, who was sidelined due to dengue during the first two games. Although he arrived in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, his participation remains uncertain. Gill, a pivotal player in the team and currently in outstanding form, is dearly missed.

Due to Shubman Gill’s absence, Ishan Kishan took over as the opening role in both games, and India won both matches. Yuvraj Singh, the key player in India’s World Cup victory in 2011, is upbeat about Shubman Gill’s possibility of rejoining the team because of the 24-year-old’s crucial role in the team.

In an interview with ANI, Yuvraj said, “Shubham Gill ko maine tagda kar diya hai [I have strengthened Shubham Gill]. I told him that I had played in the World Cup while battling cancer, so I got ready quickly to join the team. Hopefully, he will be ready for the India vs Pakistan game. When you have a fever and dengue it is really tough to play a cricket match and I have experienced that. So I hope that if he is fit then he will definitely play.”

The former great all-rounder added that both teams had performed admirably throughout the competition. He expressed excitement for a thrilling matchup and emphasized that it is a rare opportunity to see these two teams compete in India again after such a long absence. He urged everyone to enjoy the moment because he didn’t know when another like it would present itself.
