The SA20 2024 auction took place in Johannesburg on Wednesday, September 27, and it was a success. All six teams managed to assemble formidable squads within their budget constraints.
In a recent exciting development, the Joburg Super Kings made quite a splash in the player selection, securing the talented Imran Tahir as a wild-card pick. Lorcan Tucker, with a starting price of R 175K, found a new home with the Paarl Royals. Meanwhile, the all-rounder sensation Dayyan Galiem emerged as the highest-priced player in the SA20 auction, fetching a staggering R1.60M from the Joburg Super Kings.
But that’s not all – let’s not forget the promising rookie players who found their spot in the squads through the rookie draft. With this, all six franchises have successfully completed their rosters for the eagerly awaited second edition of South Africa’s premier T20 competition.
